May is Speech and Hearing month! I would like to acknowledge the dedicated team of Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) in our practice group who provide communication and swallowing services to patients and clients at SMH inpatients and outpatients, JPOCSC, BC Cancer, Rehab at Laurel Place and CareLife Fleetwood. SLPs help patients with some of the most valued and basic life skills we need: swallowing and communicating. Their continued contributions are vital to our sites success in achieving the mission of Better Health and Best in Health care. The individual efforts and excellence in patient care is demonstrated through the site values of team work, clinical excellence, compassion and caring. Thank you for the work you do every day.
